A Fusion of Luxury Furniture and Thoughtful Lighting

Located in Surat, Gujarat, Luxarte Living is a 15,000 sq. ft. luxury furniture destination, showcasing an exquisite selection of leading European and Indian brands. What sets this space apart is the seamless integration of furniture and lighting – an aspect that came naturally to the owners, given their strong background in architectural lighting. Representing globally renowned brands like iGuzzini, Flos, XAL, and LED Linear, they had a clear vision for creating a space that was both inviting and sophisticated.

Designed by architect Vikram Bhatt of Co.Lab Design Studio and illuminated by Light & Beyond, the showroom’s lighting design posed an interesting challenge: to enhance the ambiance without overpowering the furniture. The goal was to craft a warm and immersive experience where each piece of furniture could shine in its own right. The lighting scheme was subtle yet dynamic, allowing the space to evolve throughout the day.

A carefully curated lighting control system was implemented to adjust brightness and tone based on natural daylight and time of day. The interplay between artificial and natural light, managed through automated scenes, ensured an ever-changing ambiance that remained consistent with the showroom’s luxurious feel. Soft highlights accentuated textures, while directional lighting subtly guided the eye across different setups.

The result is a space where furniture is not just displayed but experienced – where light plays a silent yet powerful role in shaping perception, comfort, and luxury. Luxarte Living is more than a showroom; it’s a masterclass in the art of balance between furniture and light.
